Who We Are
CatchaDoc is built and run by one person: J.R. McCollough, a USAF veteran and licensed health insurance agent with nearly two decades of experience helping consumers navigate Medicare, health insurance, and the challenge of finding care that's actually available to them.
After working with tens of thousands of individuals, one pattern became impossible to ignore: the biggest gap wasn't coverage, it was finding providers who are accurate, available, and accepting patients. Ghost networks, disconnected data, and directories that hadn't been updated in years were sending people in circles.
No venture capital. No outside investors. Just a veteran who saw a real problem and built something to fix it.

That means eliminating outdated listings, improving provider visibility, and giving both consumers and providers better tools to connect. Whether someone is searching for a local specialist or exploring telehealth options, the information they find on CatchaDoc should be reliable enough to act on.
The Data Behind the Directory
Most directories publish a provider count and stop there. We think it's worth being more specific about what that actually means.
CatchaDoc maintains records on over 7 million providers nationwide. Of those, 3 million are actively monitored on a monthly cycle, cross-referenced against live data sources to catch changes in availability, insurance acceptance, and practice status. Vetted providers are held to a higher standard still: continuous 24/7 monitoring, with verified fixes published within 24 hours.
The remaining records are baseline public data, still useful, still searchable, but not yet in our active verification pipeline.
