About Me

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (in Texas and New York) who works with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan, beginning at age 6. I support clients navigating life transitions, identity exploration, relationships and family dynamics, self-esteem, and healing from trauma. I strive to create a warm, affirming, and culturally responsive space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Whether you are working through a difficult season, exploring who you are, or hoping to strengthen your relationships, my goal is to support you in creating a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with your values.

My Background & Approach

I earned my Bachelor of Science and Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin before completing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University where I also completed advanced training in child therapy.

My educational and clinical experience have given me the opportunity to work with clients across the lifespan. I have specialized training and experience in LGBTQIA+ affirming care, trauma-informed treatment, child and family therapy, parent-child relationships, and high-conflict family dynamics.

My approach is grounded in a systemic perspective, meaning I consider the relationships, culture, family experiences, and environments that shape each person's life. I integrate approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and play-based approaches when appropriate. I have experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, complex trauma, dissociation, relationship challenges, and identity exploration.

I believe therapy should be personalized, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

Personal Beliefs & Interests

I believe every person has inherent worth and value, and everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. My role as a therapist is not to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel empowered to live as your authentic self. I believe our differences, experiences, and identities are what make each person's story meaningful and valuable.

I also believe that therapy works best when it feels like genuine human connection. While I bring clinical knowledge and evidence-based tools into our work, I strive to create a space that feels warm, honest, and human rather than intimidating or overly clinical. I hope to be a source of support, encouragement, and curiosity as we work together to navigate challenges, celebrate growth, and create a life that feels true to who you are.
